What to expect next year? A foundation will be laid for 3 projects i'm working on:
- an association
- a Youtube channel
- and a dynamic housing design

While researching the different aspects of Dynamic Living, i found out there's 3 kinds of people (a rough estimate ;)
1) those that want everything for themselves (still very 3D)
2) those that want change, but dont wanna change (holding on to 3D)
3) those that wouldnt mind sharing a bathroom, toilet, kitchen or living space (in transition)

Some, like me, are even looking forward to living in (mini)communities. The co-housing system in the Netherlands is a good example of #2 people. They do live together and share way more than the average Joe, still they all waste so much space and energy by having an apartment or house all for themselves (and/or spouse). This is not the way to go, in my opinion.
Sharing a kitchen makes that you eat together way more often, and sharing a meal is very important for social structure and cohesion, exchanging information, ideas and most of all: love. And there's so many more benefits. I dont like cleaning for example, but when its for the greater good i absolutely dont mind. Being of service feels really good!

Sharing a bathroom or toilet is still a no-go area for a lot of people. Its a luxury they dont want to let go. I suspect this is mostly a territorial thing, embedded deeply in our subconsciousness. And there's a great deal of shame involved too. I dont like to take a shit in a toilet thats right next to a living room filled with people. But this can be dealt with by having the toilet outside. Which then becomes another problem for some: "but what if i have to pee at night?" Where there's a problem, there's also a solution. I'm pretty sure all these things will work themselves out fine once we've decided to give it a shot.

In Boekel (The Netherlands) theyre building an eco-village and i'm really interested in this project. At Plukrijp (Belgium) they have a good example of what a self-sustainable community could look like. But i want more! I want communities that have space for people like me, who want to live dynamically, not bound to one place, always on the move, meeting new people, exchange knowledge and energy for a while and then move on again. I wanna see the world, and so many of us do. But we're bound to living in cars, camper vans, tents, lodges or other temporary 'homes'.

So the foundation i want to lay goes beyond couch surfing, tiny houses or co-housing. I dont have it all clear yet, but setting up an association (as legal entity) will probably be the next step. You can become a member by paying a monthly contribution or one time donation. And there will be different benefits for each. The money will be used for research (architects helping design dynamic housing, realtors with legal stuff and volunteers to gather entourage) and organizing meetings where we can share ideas and information. There's a lot of people who want change, who want a different life style, but theyre afraid to let go of the old, mainly because there's no prospect, there's no alternative. We are going to create this alternative, we are the change!
